Location Information

The main activities will take place in Oakland and Berkeley, California. The venues are largely accessible via public transit. You can fly into either SFO (an hour on BART or a 35-55 minute car ride) or OAK (30 minutes on BART or a 15-20 minute car ride).

Please note that the venue includes one flight of stairs and as of March 2026, the elevator is out of service and the City of Oakland doesn’t know when it’ll be back.

Dressing Fall in Northern California

Honestly, it’s hard to say what the weather will be like in November. We still have beautiful days, though rain can sometimes be in the forecast.

Daily highs are usually in the mid-60s and lows can dip into the 40s. Pack layers!

COVID Precautions

Please take a COVID test before coming to any events, daily if at all possible. All our chosen venues will have plenty of outdoor space for your comfort, and the gathering will be relatively intimate.

If you start feeling sick during your visit, we would definitely you rather err on the side of caution and keep the other nominees safe. We’ll celebrate our exciting award in the future.
